NEW DIRECTIONS

2020 | EVENT DESIGN

New Directions, held at the end of 2020, was conceived as a response to a world rapidly shifting under our feet.

The last time we experienced such a deep systemic change was at the turn of the millennium — with the digital revolution. Now, in the wake of a global pandemic and accelerated technological dependence, we found ourselves confronting an overflow of information, the rise of post-truth and fake news, and the erosion of traditional boundaries. Offices dissolved into homes, workdays stretched into personal hours, and geography lost its grip on collaboration. New Directions explored this fluid new normal — a hybrid reality where certainty vanished and flexibility became a necessity. The visuals and narrative were inspired by disorientation, fragmentation, and adaptation — capturing a moment where the very structure of time, space, and truth was up for reinterpretation.

Inspired by Koyaanisqatsi

The transiting from all nature, or the natural environment as our hosts of life for human habitation into mass technology as the environment of life

It's not that we use technology we live technology; technology has become as ubiquitous as the air we breathe so we are no longer conscious of its presence
